Group Organization
THE recommendations booklet brings together a series of suggestions for the present and for the future, regarding the organization of groups for the resumption of spiritist studies, in a methodological and organized way. We recommend that you carefully read all of the following.
Study Groups
Study Groups (GEs) will be able to count on the number of members that each group deems necessary, although we recommend that the size of the group is not much greater than 10 people and that the admission of new members is carried out very carefully.
As possible and bearing in mind the necessary seriousness and care that the subject deserves, mediums who want to, without any interest other than charity, help in the work of the group, acting as an intermediary between spirituality and us, may become part of these groups. Such action must be carried out with great discernment and common sense, aiming to follow in the footsteps of Allan Kardec, not wishing to acquire knowledge in a hurry, but rather allowing spirituality itself to lead the advancement of this knowledge. For this it will be essential to know and study the basic works recommended in the respective page.
It is very important that a LG, in addition to a chairperson, also has at least one alternate member, who will share the functions of the former, especially in his/her absence.
We recommend that GEs have a Google account or another service provider, where they can count on e-mail, an area for safe storage of files on the a cloud, etc. This account must be opened by the Chairman of the Group and will occasionally need to have its login information shared with alternate members. In it, there should be the following structure in Google Drive:
- public folder, where all documents generated by the group's studies will be publicly available for reading. These easily accessible documents can promote the creation of articles, videos, etc. Very important: In that folder never content eventually obtained through mediumship that has not yet been submitted and “approved” by the Confederative Groups (GF) may be shared.
- private folder, with restricted access, where the documents with contents eventually obtained through mediumship, in the GE. this folder never it can be shared publicly, but the documents, when appropriate, must be shared with the FG(s), who will then carry out the appropriate methodological analysis.
It remains to add that we recommend that GE meetings are always engraved, in order to make publicly available the studies obtained therefrom. However, we assert that any meetings involving mediumistic phenomena never must be made publicly available, under penalty of opening up the field to the vanities arising from presumptuous public exposure, neither they must address matters obtained through mediumship that have not yet been submitted and “approved” by the FG(s). To act contrary to this, sharing too soon a content obtained through mediumship, as we have already said, will be put in doubt that content, causing more complications and even waste of time to the members of the group, mediums or not, incarnate and disincarnate.
Confederative Groups
The Confederative Groups (GFs) may (or perhaps should) be structured along the lines of Kardec's plans, with an ideal number of 12 full members and 12 alternate members, but perhaps starting with a minimum number of 3 full members and 3 alternate members .
The FGs will be able, in the event that they multiply, exchange information with each other, helping with the necessary work and, perhaps, it may become necessary to create a Federation, without any hierarchical purpose, but with the sole purpose of periodically bringing together members of the FGs. We remind you that the basis of this organization is precisely withdraw hierarchical powers, so that knowledge is not centralized in a single entity, with a single voice. It is something different from what exists today in the country, where, almost always, the Federations deliberate and only pass on to affiliated Spiritist centers.
The FGs will also need to have one or more alternate members to the president, who must share the responsibilities of the first, in his/her absence, but in this case, the president has only a coordinating and organizing role, having his voice as important as the others. members of the group, refraining from taking any deliberations against the opinion of the majority of the group.
The FGs must also have a Google account, opened by the president of the Group and with access information shared with the alternate members. Its structure will be identical to that of the GEs, with minor changes in the purposes:
- The public folder will contain documents created on the contents that have already been internally analyzed. In it, the analyzes that lead to both acceptance and rejection of certain content must be recorded.
- The private folder should gather copies of the documents made available by the GEs, formulated on contents obtained through mediumship. It is essential to remember that these documents should never be made publicly available without having been carefully analyzed, under the necessary methodology.
Coordination of studies between the Groups
There is something else, too, that will require the support of the Confederative Groups or the Federation: some kind of effort in the coordination of studies distributed among the associated study groups, in the case of exchanges with the spiritual plane through Mediums. This will be necessary so that there is not an infinity of different subjects being treated in the different groups, in a mismatched way, producing a quantity of mismatched materials that will make the task of methodological analysis difficult. The role of the FGs, in this sense, would be like that of Kardec, coordinating matters and submitting important questions to mediums in various parts.
dissent
As it always was and never ceased to be at the time of Kardec, the dissidences, that is, the groups that will take other ways, maybe inverse to the model that we propose here, will undoubtedly exist. We can even expect that groups contrary to our method will be formed, based on Kardec's steps, and that they may even go against spiritist principles. They will not be spiritists, even if they call themselves such – as, by the way, already happens – and we should not pay more attention to them than what universal fraternity demands. If they are of this type of resistant and vain opinion, which does not surrender to reason, the silence that does not give an audience is the best solution. You may find some supporters, but, if the work of the other Spiritists is maintained with the necessary energy and vigilance, they will not find a field to grow..
Incidentally, on this, once again we have the example of Allan Kardec who, practically alone, made Spiritism spread so widely over France.
First steps
The group will meet at a defined frequency, on a date and time to be agreed, according to the availability of the vast majority of participants. We will use the various possible means, seeking to hold recorded online meetings in order to make the content of these studies available through means such as Youtube. Transcripts or creation of articles on these contents will be welcome and will be made available in the group's collection.
We believe that we could take the first steps of our studies as follows:
- formation of the initial, cohesive and well-integrated group
- holding of a first meeting, online, recorded, to inaugurate the studies and affirm the principles, precepts and basic concepts of the Group
- conducting studies on the Spiritist Magazine, content so important and so overlooked, which will give us a lot of material to discuss many topics dealt with in more detail in these publications. This will be a trigger for the development of various subjects, seeking to deepen them whenever possible.
- in the event that Spirituality provides us with the means to resume the study intermediated by mediums participating in the group, it will be necessary to stick to what is stipulated in “Contact with Other Groups”, so that we do not make available to other people the content that has not yet passed by the necessary methodological sieve. To do otherwise would be to question, once again, the reliability of such teachings, making illuminative learning difficult.
Contact with other groups
Perhaps we can start this movement to rescue the applied study of the Doctrine of Spirits. We pray to God that we can do it, like tiny little ants that start the anthill with a grain of sand. We need, however, to find an ideal form in this interaction, especially if we are given divine consent to receive content from the spiritual plane again. For this, however, we need to look as much as possible in the footsteps of Allan Kardec, without pretending to be as wise, conscientious and rely on as much common sense as he himself had – but it is necessary to have a base on which to establish ourselves. .
I would like to say, at the outset, that we must try to be, on our part, the “Good Man”, so well described by Kardec in “The Gospel according to Spiritism > Chapter XVII – Sede perfect > The good man”, one of the his most lucid and touching texts and which so denote the degree of understanding that this Spirit had about Spiritism. We need, above all, to have firmness allied to charity, not launching anathema or trying to violate consciences that will be, many, in degrees of understanding very far from those we seek to achieve through this study.
Teachings of the Spirits in the present day
However, there is something just as important, if not more, with regard to this pPossibility of receiving spirituality content again: how to adopt a necessary methodology, in times when communication can be in the same second in all points of the globe? At the time of Kardec, it was easy to obtain contents with a great guarantee that they had not been “contaminated” by other mediums or groups, that is, when the same teaching came from different parts of the globe, or even from Europe, at the same time, it was possible to have great confidence that the medium from Provence, for example, had no contact with the medium from Tuscany, obtaining from him, and not from spirituality, the content transmitted. In times of global Internet and telephony, this becomes an additional challenge, but we believe we can reduce this possibility of Contamination through the following methodological precepts, in a way already prescribed by Allan Kardec:
Practical Recommendations
- The study groups constituted need keep in touch with each other, giving news of their existence.
- Through this, they can form other groups, which we will call Confederative Groups, made up of individuals who, necessarily, don't be the psychics who participate as mediators of the contents transmitted by spirituality, in Study Groups.
- The contents obtained through the mediums of each study group you can not be shared with other study groups, nor with other people outside that group, but with those belonging to the Confederative Groups, confidentially, so that this material is gathered and submitted to the necessary methodology. The need for secrecy is made so that the content does not cause bias to other groups.
- You Confederative Groups, after collecting and analyzing, in a coordinated way, materials from the different study groups, they should meet publicly to present evidence and results of their analyses, so that the Study Groups can verify and prove the good faith of the confederative group.
In this way, great reliability is guaranteed that the teachings coming from different study groups, through their participating mediums, are not biased by content from other groups and mediums.
The work of the Confederative Group, then, would be to coordinate these contents, seeking to analyze them using the same scientific methodology as Kardec, accepting those that are in agreement and that meet the sieve of reason and logic, as well as the teachings previously affirmed by the same. method.
There is also the problem that has always existed that a given content is biased by other previously known, but not necessarily correct, content, as is the case with the theory of the seven astral bodies. However, groups endowed with good faith and humility will be able to easily verify what are the contents that (1) go against what was already affirmed by the Kardequian codification itself and that (2) can be easily denied by the study itself.
We remind you that our condition will not be that of researchers who put themselves to ask the most varied questions, hoping that they will be answered according to our will, but that of people who, starting from the precept of humility and availability to learn, will be attentive to the teachings received. , seeking to understand them in their entirety, within the limits that superior spirituality sets for us, as was done at the time of Allan Kardec. So, like Kardec, we will need to organize questions in a constructive way, moving forward or changing directions as the answers are given.
Of course, all this demands a great deal of honesty and trust, as well as humility and honor from the members of both groups. It is something that, however, with the necessary seriousness, can be answered, as Allan Kardec did, who always sought to obtain information about the nature of the people from whom the information came.
